Someone to love…

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

If you call into the McMoyler office, you have probably spoken with Joan, our wonderful registrar-well, Joan’s heart broke over the weekend when her dear and darling favorite cat named Pip passed on. He was her baby (as she referred to him) and she is desperately sad without him. Joan had cared for all his medical needs for so long and right up to the end held and cuddled and fawned over him.

Joan’s kitties are her family…who and how we love is not what matters…it is the loving that makes us who we are.

Birthday Morning

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

Baby Kathryn was born 2 years ago today. Yesterday, before the start of a business meeting, I listened and watched as her mom described the party preparations: cutting out eight tiny birthday crowns, the butterflies and stickers and pom-poms for the party goers to decorate the crowns with, the colorful streamers and matching plates; the cake to make first thing this morning, so much to do to be ready…it was like preparing to deliver her baby, the care and attention to detail, making sure that things were just right.

Very similar: the anticipated arrival, and now the heart spilling over delight in her little two year old daughter.

Happy Birthday Baby Kathryn and congratulations to your mom, I can feel her smiling, beaming face today…
